エメラルドみたいに光るグリーンは、ボタニカルな装い。カルセドニーグループに属すオニキス。ギリシャではその昔、様々な色のカルセドニーをオニキスと呼びました。
グリーンオニキスは、鮮やかな緑色。ほとんどの石は光を通さないほどマットなのですが、このネックレスのように粒が小さいと、半透明に光ります。深い森のようなグリーンに爽やかな風が通るようです。

砂金水晶と呼ばれたり、昔はインド翡翠などとも呼ばれたグリーンアベンチュリン。翡翠の代替石としてもよく使われてきました。
このような小さな粒ではわかりにくいのですが、スターダストのようにキラキラしたラメ状に光が出てきます。
ボタニカルカラーに少しだけスパイシーな光が、おしゃれな日々にうってつけです。

翡翠です。1863年ごろに、翡翠は、ジェダイト（硬玉）とネフライト（軟玉）の２つに分類されました。いまでも、ネフライトは翡翠として扱われている石なのです。軟玉といいますが、硬度はむしろネフライトの方が出ることが多いのです。白いネフライトは、白玉と呼ばれ、中国などでは珍重されます。
私たちの選んだネフライトは、薄いグリーンのやさしいカラー。やさしいグリーンは鉄の発色です。一方ジェダイトのグリーンはクロム系によるもの。クロムの方が鮮やかなグリーンになるのです。
