キラリとお日さまのラメサンストーンは、ムーンストーンなどと同じフェルスパー・長石の仲間です。
光に当たると、まるでラメが輝くようにキラキラと光るのが特徴。これは、透明なフェルスパーの中に、アベンチュリンといわれるキラキラ成分が含まれることから。
よく見ると、赤やオレンジ、黄色やゴールドの光る粒があります。
別名はヘリオライト。つまり太陽の石です。古代ギリシャでは、サンストーンを太陽神の象徴として崇めたと伝えられます。
そのあたりから、現代でも、自信を高めたり、行動力を発揮させるといわれ、その輝きから金運のお守りにすることもあるそうです。
