タンザナイトマーメイド
魅了のバイオレットブルータンザナイトの正式名称は、ゾイサイトと言います。
この石の歴史は浅く、発見されたのは1967年のこと。
キリマンジャロの麓で野火があり、現地の人が、その焼け跡から美しいブルーの石を見つけたのが最初だと言われています。
その後、ティファニーがコマーシャルネームとして、タンザナイトと名づけたところから、爆発的に宝石界を席巻しました。
タンザニアのミレラニ鉱山でしか採れないタンザナイトは、希少性で言うと、ダイヤモンドの1000倍の価値があるんですよ。
タンザナイトの特徴は、多色性と輝き。
見る角度によって、ブルー、バイオレット、グリーン、ピンクなど、色が変わって見えるのです。 そして透明な輝きは、本当にキラキラとしていて、見る人々を魅了します。
現状、濃厚なブルーが価値が高いとされていますが、近年は、かなり薄い色の中に多色を認められる石にも価値を見出すようになっています。
中でも、ブルー・パープル・スカイブルー・グリーンの色彩を持つものは、人魚の鱗のようなイメージから「マーメイドカラー」と呼ばれ、希少性から高値で取引されています。
いつまでも眺めていられるタンザナイト。
ペントップや耳ものも結構ですが、やはり、リングが吉かと思います。
